Position Summary:

Client Manager for RTS Profit Optimization (PO). Position is based in Europe but not specifically to one country or city.

Will support all Client Services countries by providing guidance and direction to project teams on broad, complex, and critical PO engagements. Interacts at multiple levels within client organizations in multiple departments. Develop relationship as a business advisor with the regional Business Development Manager, serving as the main point of contact for ongoing PO communications through the sale and overall account service. Contributes to the development and enhancement of CS (RTS Client Services) methods, techniques, processes, and practices. Will interact at multiple levels with several organizations within RTS including P&T, Sales, Marketing and all organizations in PGS regions / countries.



  • Demonstrates ability to lead multiple projects through expert planning, communication and management to meet or exceed project metrics. Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and locations for project success.
  • Has expert knowledge of two or more modules within the RTS product suite. Can be called upon to act in firefight situations.
  • Has extensive knowledge of RTS Architecture, associated tools, and underlying technologies.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of associated industry knowledge, business processes, integration points and extensive implementation background.
  • Has ability to counsel client, project sponsors, project leadership, consulting team and RTS management on implementation strategy and solutions which leverage RTS products and technology to fulfill a business need.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of underlying table structures, reporting tools and application security concepts.
  • Knowledge of and ability to deliver RTS Packaged Services.
  • Has extensive knowledge of one or more modules within the RTS product suite.
  • Has a working understanding of RTS Architecture, business processes, integration points, and associated tools and underlying technologies.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of underlying table structures, reporting tools and application security concepts.
  • Possesses working knowledge in one or more specific technical areas, such as deploying web or business intelligence technology.
  • Is an expert troubleshooter and can develop and execute action plans to resolve technical issues. Can be called upon to act in “firefight” situations.
  • Has expert knowledge of best practice development standards.
  • Synthesizes complex technical information and communicates it clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Has a good working knowledge of MS Operating systems, MS applications, Web-associated languages.
  • Has a working knowledge of FoxPro, SQL Server, or Oracle.
  • Has expert ability to troubleshoot the RTS Architecture and recommend solutions to technical issues.



Education and Experience
  • Typically requires 3-5 or more years of experience in implementing or supporting Transportation solutions (such as revenue management, freight management, reservation systems, or pricing management), defining client needs and applying appropriate technology solutions.
  • Preferred experience of 5 or more years of experience with at least 1 revenue management product.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation business functions and expertise in business analysis techniques.
  • B.A. / B.S. in a technical field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English with verbal and written communications.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
  • Expertise in conceptualizing new products and product enhancements, examining existing assumptions and formulating new product ideas.
  • Takes initiative to achieve value-added results within scope of responsibility.
  • Able to work with minimal direction but promotes an open flow of information so those all concerned are well informed.
  • In-depth knowledge of RTS products and tools and skill in a variety of RTS techniques, methods, processes and practices.
  • Prepares documentation and complex reports in a clear, concise and well-organized manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Adjusts to changes in priorities and manages time effectively.
  • Applies strong analytical skills to resolve complex client issues.

  • Primarily works in standard office environment.
  • Uses a Computer to review and produce text, spreadsheet, and graphical documents, and a photocopier to reproduce documents.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time by various conveyances, e.g., air, rail, automobile.
